Eclipse

I’ve always had a fascination with the galaxy and the beautiful vibrant colors from stars, novas, planets and so much more.

In this illustration series I explored a simplified character design and a new color palette inspired by rich purples and pinks from our universe.

Conceptualizing

During my childhood camping trips, I’d stare up into the bright night sky wishing I was soaring through the stars.

Much like Princess Jasmine on that magic carpet scene or Captain Hook’s pirate ship, the Jolly Roger.

These were moments where I drew my influence from to create the series.

Serenity

During this exploration, I was constantly listening to lo-fi music, a genre which I often listen to during my studies or doodle time.

It helps me feel serene. Clearing my mind from any distraction of lyrics and allowing me be open to any illustration ideas.
